The last two hundred metres are on foot.
Camogli sits between Genoa and Portofino, on a headland the coast road only brushes. The centre is closed to cars, which is why it still feels like itself. Here is how to reach the door, whichever way you come.
Four ways in
Train, car, boat or on foot.
By train
Camogli-San Fruttuoso station is six minutes on foot, and the walk is downhill the whole way. Trains from Genova Brignole take 35 minutes and run twice an hour. From Milan it is about two hours with one change in Genoa.
By car
The centre is pedestrian, so nobody parks at the door. We hold two spaces in the garage on Via XX Settembre, two hundred metres up the hill, at €25 a night. Ask for them when you book and leave the car there until you go.
By boat
In season the ferries run from Genoa and Rapallo and tie up at the quay below the church. From the quay it is a flight of steps and one short street. Bring a bag you are happy to carry.
On foot
The coastal path from Recco takes about fifty minutes, level most of the way, with the sea beside you throughout. From San Rocco the old mule track drops through olive terraces in half an hour. Shoes with grip, not sandals.

Before you ask.
Is there parking?
Camogli’s centre is pedestrian. We hold two spaces in the garage on Via XX Settembre, 200 metres away, for €25 a night. Book them with your room.
How do I arrive by train?
Camogli-San Fruttuoso station is a six-minute walk. Trains from Genoa take 35 minutes, from Milan about two hours with one change.
Can children stay?
Yes. The Terrace Suite sleeps three and we can add a cot to the Corner Room. Ask when you book.
Do you accept dogs?
Small and medium dogs are welcome in the Garden Room and the Small Room, for €15 a night.
When is breakfast?
Every day from 07:30 to 10:30, in the dining room or on the terrace in good weather. Earlier by arrangement if you have a boat to catch.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation until seven days before arrival. After that, the first night is charged.
