Anchovies and white wine at the fishermen’s cooperative
8 minutes from the door
April to October

Camogli’s fishermen still run a cooperative at the harbour, and from April to October it keeps a small counter open at the water’s edge. The anchovies are salted here, the way they have been for generations, and come with bread, butter and a squeeze of lemon.
Order a plate and a glass of Vermentino and carry them to the wall by the boats. Go around one o’clock, when the morning catch is in and the tables in the sun fill quickly. Expect to spend about fifteen euro for two.
Eight minutes on foot along the front, and back the same way.
